For more than two decades, I've trusted Bosca to be among the finest in leather goods. However, the Coral Small Wallet I purchased from Bosca online is not up to the maker's historic standards. The leather itself is supple, and the coloration is vibrant and uniform. However, the 8 card pockets are actually 6 card pockets in leather and two made of the cash well liner fabric and located inside the cash well. The card pockets are not aligned straight across the tri-fold; rather, they are a smidge low on the right or bottom side which can be caused by the crafter - er - sewing machine operator -pulling the article by the upper left or top left corner instead of aligning the article straight up and carefully moving the materials evenly and straight through the sewing process. Likewise, the edge stitching on the foldover bears the signature of having been quickly pulled through the sewing machine by one corner of the article as the horizontal stitches on the flap are straight and even to the edge, while the vertical stitches on the flap are oriented at a about a 45 degree angle to the vertical edge, but they straighten out and run parallel or even to the edge around the rest of the wallet. While ordering, I rejoiced at my good fortune to find an $85 Bosca women's small wallet available for $46.75. While receiving the product, I was disappointed to realize I had bought what Bosca would have considered a factory second not too many years ago.
