You know, know what they say, it's always brunch somewhere. This twist on an espresso martini is a great replacement for the tired brunch staples like the mimosa or the bloody mary. Plus, it comes with plenty of caffeine, meaning you will be both awake and relaxed. What more could you want?
4 oz espresso
1.5 oz Coffee liqueur (we used Kahlua)
1.5 oz Vodka
.5 oz Nocino
.5 oz simple syrup (we used dark brown sugar)
Nocino is a walnut liqueur from northern Italy. It's made by soaking young, still, green walnuts in spirits for over a year or more. The result is a delightfully nutty liqueur that everyone should know and love.
Start by making your espresso. You will need to make a double and set it aside to cool. Cold brew coffee is an excellent alternative if you have yet to dedicate yourself to building a Starbucks in your kitchen, as we have. Add all the ingredients onto a shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into an 8oz martini glass and enjoy.
If you want a creamier option, some foamed milk or cool whip on top adds a lot of flavors and makes the presentation even more impressive.
